As mentioned above, the best way of getting from Copenhagen to Billund is by bus. In fact, it’s also the most budget-friendly, convenient, and (almost) quickest way to travel between the two cities!
Taking the bus from Copenhagen to Billund is very convenient because it’s direct — unlike taking the train, there’s no need to transfer or fumble around trying to find the next station. All you have to do is get onboard, enjoy a 3.5 hour ride, and voila – you’re in Billund!
If you take the Flixbus, you’ll have the choice of arriving at either Billund Airport or Billund Legoland, as these are the last two stops on the bus. Likewise, the bus also comes with WiFi and outlets, making the journey comfortable and the time fly by.
Copenhagen to Billund By Train

Billund doesn’t have a train station, so your journey will be split into two parts. First, you’ll need to take a train from Copenhagen to Vejle (the closest city with a train station), which is located 19 km from Billund. Once you arrive in Vejle, you’ll need to take a short walk to the bus station and take the bus to Billund.
To follow the above journey, you’ll take the ICL 35 or ICL 8647 trains (both go from København H to Vejle Station) and then the 43 Ekspresbus (to Billund Centret, although the bus also stops at Billund Airport and Legoland!)
There’s also the option to take a train to the city of Kolding and take a bus from there to Billund. You’ll most likely take the ICL 8643 or IC 395 train (both go from København H to Kolding Station) and then take the 166 bus to Billund.
Copenhagen to Billund By Flying
