If you’ve never been glamping in Denmark, you have to try it. Just imagine waking up to the peaceful sounds of nature, enjoying a delicious organic breakfast, and surrounded by Denmark’s lush landscapes… but from the comfort of a luxury tent!
If you love nature (but without the concept of ‘roughing it’ in a flimsy tent), glamping is the perfect solution. Glamping, which is short for glamorous camping, offers a more luxurious and comfortable experience compared to traditional camping:
- Glamping typically involves staying in pre-constructed accommodations (like yurts, cabins, luxury tents, or wagons) that are more comfortable than traditional tents.
- Glamping provides a high level of comfort and convenience. Unlike regular camping, glamping often includes amenities like hot showers, flushing toilets, kitchenettes, and Wi-Fi.
- Typically, glamping sites are often designed to be easily accessible. They may be located near popular tourist destinations or natural attractions, allowing visitors to enjoy outdoor activities while having convenient access to nearby amenities and restaurants.
If you’re seeking a luxurious escape with a touch of adventure, then Denmark is the perfect place to go glamping. From boho luxury tents to tiny houses near the seaside, safari tents where you can get up close and personal to wild animals, and even colorful circus wagons, there are plenty of places to go glamping in Denmark!
In this blog post, we’ll unveil some of the best glamping destinations in Denmark — grab your adventure and let’s check them out!

Krusmølle Glamping
Looking for a memorable and unique glamping experience in Denmark? You’ll definitely find it at Krusmølle!
The owners bought and restored 9 wagons (better known as ‘Glamping Caravans’), which come in different sizes and each have their own unique style! For example, Wagon 5 is fashioned in a moody Industrial style, while Wagon 8, nicknamed ‘Woody,’ offers a mix of beautiful vintage and rustic lumberjack. Wagon 10 is perhaps the most unique, as it was converted from an old Norwegian school bus!
Besides the cozy wagons, there’s plenty to see and do around the campground. In fact, the owners wrote it best— “With 55 hectares, 3 forests, 3 lakes, long natural streams and soft hills, it was a shame not to share it with more people from all over the world.”

Schellerup Gård
Nestled in the idyllic Danish countryside, this camping resort is actually an old farm from the early 1900s that has been passed down from generations and is now a family-run venture.
While you could stay in the cottages (they’re quite adorable!), the real adventure is staying in one of the futuristic glamping tents. There are two Lotus Belle Stargazer tents on the property, which measure 28 sq meters inside and have a double bed, table and chairs, and even a cozy fireplace! Guests also have access to their own private toilet and shower booth right outside the tents. Likewise, there is a complimentary gym that guests can use, and also a sauna (for an extra fee).
However, the real gem of staying in one of the glamping tents is the transparent ceiling — you’ll be able to stargaze right from your bed!

Cozy Tiny House on a Farm
Is there anything cozier than staying at a tiny house on a farm? You’ll have to stay here and find out!
This glamping tiny house is located in northern Zealand (just an hours’ drive from Copenhagen) and features views of the surrounding sea, plus close proximity to adorable farmlife. The tiny house can sleep up to 5 guests, making it ideal for families as well.

Sol Flora
If you’re looking for absolute peace and quiet, why not enjoy a weekend of glamping at Sol Flora? Located in a lush green field, this converted wagon features a beautiful modern Scandinavian design with touches of natural wood, as well as an outdoor terrace with a hot tub!

Nordbornholms Feriecenter
The island of Bornholm is a paradise for those who love nature and picturesque landscapes, so it’s no surprise that there are plenty of glamping spots in Bornholm as well!
Case in point: Nordbornholms Feriecenter (Holiday Center), which offers adorable tented cottages and bungalows, as well as traditional apartments and houses. Thanks to its rural location, this glamping area is ideal to get in touch with nature — the owner offers a bicycle rental service, which is the perfect way to explore the rest of the island!
During the season, guests can also enjoy a round of mini golf and the swimming pool.

Under Canvas Bornholm
Since we’re on Bornholm, let’s explore other amazing glamping spots on the island!
Under Canvas offers a unique and immersive glamping experience set in the idyllic Bornholm countryside, with stylish safari-style tents and plenty of comfortable amenities. Each of the tents are equipped with comfortable beds, cozy furnishings, a mini fridge, BBQ grill, and plenty of space, plus a private toilet just 100 meters away.
If this glamping site is fully booked on your preferred days, don’t worry and check out the next place on this list… 🙂

… Located just 700 meters away is another Under Canvas site!
This glampsite (see what we did there?) has the same amenities and set-up as the previous place, and is a fantastic option for travelers who want to experience the nature of Bornholm.

Guesthouse Gjoel
Without a doubt, Guesthouse Gjoel is one of the most cheerful and colorful glamping spots in Denmark!
Similar to the concept of Krusmølle Glamping’s converted caravan wagons (above), Guesthouse Gjoel took original circus wagons from Sweden and repurposed them into adorable and comfortable accommodations.
There are four individual circus wagons (Charlie, Theodole, Hulde, and Betty), and each has a small kitchenette, table/chair, bed, and fridge.
If you’re looking for the classic glamping experience in a tent, the guesthouse also offers the option to sleep in a ‘circus tent’! Named named after one of the famous Gjøl trolls (Uras), this tent is beautifully decorated with cozy elements, a spacious bed, and verdant plants. As a bonus, you’ll wake up to sweeping views of the field and fjords every morning!

Ree Park Safari
If you can’t go on a safari in Africa, let the safari come to you! That’s exactly what it’s like to stay at the Ree Park Safari, which offers super cozy Night Explorer cabins. After the last guests go home, it’s just you and the wild animals that live in the park (separated by secure glass, of course!)
Wake up to a curious giraffe peering into your cabin before setting off to explore the park. In the evening, cool down with a refreshing drink on the terrace and watch the sunset.

Dambækgaard Sustainable Farm
If safari animals aren’t your thing, no worries — we have another fantastic option 🙂
Located just an hour’s drive from Copenhagen is Dambækgaard, a sustainable farm that offers guests the unique chance to stay on a farm, eat delicious organic food, and enjoy an eco-friendly vacation.
Although there are classic rooms, the real glamping experience happens in the Caravan! The owners lovingly restored an old 80’s wagon to its current glory, and it features three beds (one double and two singles), a sofa and table, and tea station. The view opens up to a peaceful view of the fields, and the bathroom is just a short walk away.
This farm stay also offers the option to add a home-cooked breakfast or dinner. How idyllic!

BohoFyn
Discover the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort at this enchanting glamping retreat!
If you’re looking to go glamping on Funen island, this is the place — it’s even in the name (Fyn is Funen island in Danish).
Nestled amidst the picturesque countryside, this unique accommodation offers a one-of-a-kind glamping experience. It’s the epitome of boho style thanks to its relaxed neutral colors, plush vibrant accents, and carefree atmosphere, but most importantly, it’s super hygge and you’ll never want to leave!
Besides the inviting tent, this property also has a cozy outdoor fireplace, a fully-functioning toilet and shower in the guesthouse (steps away from the tent), and two complimentary bicycles for rent.

Camønogaarden
If you’re planning a trip to see the spectacular white cliffs of Mons Klint, why not stay overnight and enjoy a glampsite during your adventure?
Camønogaarden is the perfect option, as it’s only 8 kilometers from Mons Klint and offers a variety of accommodations from a friendly host. Choose between staying in a beautifully-appointed caravan (seen in the photo above!), a glamping tent, or an open-air shelter. Of course, there are also classic options in the building that serves as a bed and breakfast guesthouse. 🙂
Be sure to wake up early to try the delicious homemade jams for breakfast!

Naturlig på Korsgården
How would you like to wake up to the sound of birds chirping and a gorgeous lake view in the morning? At Naturlig på Korsgården, you can do just that!
Nestled in a quiet natural area of Lolland island (yet just a 1.5 hour drive from Copenhagen) this expansive glamping site has 13 different accommodations, including tents, cabins, A-frames, tipi tents, and more. The area is surrounded by seven lakes (that’s not a typo!), as well as opportunities to go foraging for mushrooms, enjoy an outdoor barbeque, go kayaking, stargaze, and other cozy activities.
This glamping site is also dog-friendly (for extra fee).

Marsk Camp
Did you know that you can go camping right next to Denmark’s newest attraction, the Marsk Tower?
It’s true! Situated on the western coast of Denmark, Marsk Camp offers a total of 9 glamping tents that can hold between 2 to 6 guests. Each tent features an adorable boho interior design, with a cute retro fridge, plush bed, clothes rack, and electric kettle.
Of course, the Marsk Tower is just a short walk from the campsite — be sure to walk up the tower and enjoy the beautiful view of the Wadden Sea National Park! Other on-site amenities include a minigolf course, two playgrounds for kids, and a restaurant.
